"Romance that blooms between the two main characters is reasonable and make sense. Both have angst and worries and watching them work through their issues was enchanting. Excellent dirty talk and the sex scenes were very very hot. There is a mystery threaded through the growing Romance and there are some very tense scenes as he rescues her yet again. Loved me some Bear, he was just precious."

- Caleb was a bear shifter who we met in the previous story when he was supposed to fight Grizz. He is a recluse since his wife and young daughter was killed about 3 years ago. Miranda is a PhD who isn't respected by her fellow academics as she has a very large pair of "girls". She is doing research on climate change on the trees near where Caleb lives. There is a mysterious predator in the area and three missing women. Caleb isn't happy with her being by herself, even though she has a dog with her...so when Miranda gets lost in fast-moving snow storm, he rescues her and her dog, Bear This forces him to bring her to his cabin, but you will need to read this interesting, trivia-filled book to see what happens..I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.
- Caleb is the perfect hero! A good man tortured by his past. The pain of his loss and the inability to bring closure has driven him away from his humanity. Miranda is the perfect match. Smart, kind, sexy she is strong enough to help heal his pain. Loved these characters.
- Wow, definite my favorite couple of this entire series!! Phew, the HEAT🔥🔥🔥 Such great backstory and honestly Miranda's quirkiness was next level, I want to be as weird and smart as her. Give us more full figured/BBW heroines, ladies.
IðŸ‘AMðŸ‘HEREðŸ‘FORðŸ‘IT👠- Definitely sexy, touching, and exciting, Alpha's prey is an excellent story. Though it does reference the Touscon Pack, it is really an independent story. I wasn't sure I would like Caleb after his introduction as Grizze's apponent in a cage fight in the last book, but he very quickly won me over. Who can resist the wounded and not who protects the women in his territory because he can't stand the thought of them being hurt like his late wife and daughter. Add that he loves the heroin's curves, respects her intelligence, and wants to show her the kind of pleasure a real man can give her in bed, and you have one irresistible hero. I give 'Alpha's Prey' 5 stars!
- Loved that sensitive, grumpy bear and the intelligent scientist. What a treat to read about a smart, sensitive woman could honor Caleb’s dead wife and child instead of being threatened by his love for them. Caleb was special too. After losing his family, it took a giant effort for him to become invested in living again. These two were meant for each other. A well written story with a great ending! I loved it!
- Heat, humor, intrigue, and heart-melting emotions combine for another journey into the undercover world of shifters. These authors collaborate seamlessly to take the readers into their world, introducing you to new characters while maintaining a cohesive supporting storyline where relationships are key to unraveling the secrets that remain. Thankfully there are additional characters I need to learn more about as I look forward to each release as soon as I finish the current one. The alphas May ooze dominance and power but their mates always hold the key to capturing their hearts. All I can say is where’s my bear shifter!!!

Wow, I loved, loved, loved Alpha's Prey. I've been a diehard Renee Rose fan for years, so I had zero reservations about buying and trying a book co-written with Lee Savino, but I had no idea I would become so addicted to the Bad Boy Alpha Series. And now, I'm a Lee Savino fan, too! I'm the proud owner of all eleven books(to date) in the Bad Boy Alpha Series and loved them all. But - yeah, yeah, there's always a but - I do believe Alpha's Prey may be tied with Alpha's Secret for my favorite of the collection. This story had everything I adore in great paranormal romance - perilous danger, heart-pounding action, spine-tingling suspense, poignant drama, agonizing angst, undeniable attraction, explosive passion, steamy romance, and so much more! lol... I immediately fell in love with the female protagonist, Doctor M, aka Miranda, and her loyal companion and sidekick, Bear, a German-Australian Shepherd mix. Miranda was a curvy, sassy, kind, and highly intelligent human scientist and researcher with a doctorate in ecology. She was an absolute delight, a really a cool character and new to the series, but our male protagonist, bear shifter Caleb Snow, was actually introduced in Book 10, Alpha's Secret. And I hated him! lol... Yeah, I get pretty caught up in the characters and their stories. lol.. Caleb was the almost-feral bear shifter recruited by the Alpha of the Tucson Arizona wolf pack to fight in a cage match against bear shifter Grizz. He was rude, crude, huge, fierce, and out for blood! But... we discover in this story that Caleb had a very good reason for his ugly disposition. His mate and cub had been viciously murdered three years earlier and the murderer was never caught. He was still suffering from the trauma of finding their slaughtered bodies. Poor Caleb was grief-stricken, completely inconsolable, and had almost given up on life. The only thing keeping him alive and partially sane was his determination to find and kill the thing responsible. And it was a thing, an evil thing, neither human nor shifter. He could sense it, feel it, smell it, almost taste it in the forest surrounding his cabin. Plus, three more female victims had disappeared from his forest without a single trace in the last 8 months - all young, single, and human. And another beautiful young human female had just arrived at the remote University of New Mexico research station just a few miles from his cabin. Of course, she was alone, except for her dog named Bear, and a snowstorm was moving in fast. How cute - like a dog named Bear could protect her from him, a nine-foot grizzly bear shifter! lol... But, oh my, who would protect gruff, growly Caleb from the sweet but feisty Doctor M?!? Poor Caleb never knew what hit him! Our grouchy, sexy bear shifter fell hard for the lovely doctor. And Miranda's off-the-cuff documentary narrative impersonations were hilarious! From their very first encounter, Caleb and Miranda sizzled together. It was so much fun watching Caleb try to deny his feelings for Miranda and even more fun watching Miranda tempt the big, bad bear. (And yes, I actually see characters in my mind as I'm reading. Doesn't everyone?) No spoilers from me, but I will say this... Lonely, grief-stricken bear shifter who'd given up on life-check! Beautiful, intelligent human female ecologist trying to conserve the planet and make a name for herself-check! A crazed enemy guilty of heinous crimes-check! Danger, drama, angst, action, mystery, and suspense-check! Humor, sweet romance, steamy passion, and a whole lot of heart-you bet! That and a whole lot more!
Did I like this book? No, I loved it! It was well written and kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page till the last. Each of the books can be read as a standalone, but they're soooo much better when read sequentially. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, and I am but only for adults. It does contain some violence, explicit language and dreamy sex, and maybe even a little spanking. After all, this is a Renee Rose and Lee Savino book. Enough said! lol... Will I read this author again? Yes! I can hardly wait for the next book in the series, Alpha's Blood. We finally get Lucius' story! Woo-hoo! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
